ADPE Visits Kabutare District Hospital: Bringing Hope to Patients

On a bright Saturday morning, the ADPE team arrived at Kabutare District Hospital in Huye with boxes of food, hygiene kits, and warm smiles. For many patients who have spent weeks away from home, the visit was a reminder that the community has not forgotten them.

“We believe healthcare is not only about medicine — it is about dignity, warmth, and human connection,” said ADPE chairperson Emmanuel NIYIBIZI. “We want every patient to know they are seen and cared for.”

The team distributed nutritious meals and essential supplies to adults and children in several wards. Nurses and hospital staff expressed their deep appreciation for the gesture, which has become a regular ADPE activity since 2021.

ADPE plans to expand its hospital outreach programme to additional facilities in the Southern Province and beyond. Our work at Kabutare Hospital is just one expression of our commitment to Patients Rights and Advocacy, which is at the heart of everything we do.
